We had another great year in 2016. My team closed over $26,000,000 in sales and all of our team members had personal bests in 2016. The driving factor for our healthy market was low unemployment and low interest rates. We would have had an even stronger year if we would have had more inventory to sell. Home prices rose in most markets because of this lack of inventory. New Construction also had a great year in 2016 getting closer and closer to pre recession numbers in Porter and Lake counties.

We are having a very strong August. Normally August is a slowdown in real estate, but this year we are seeing an uptick in listings and sales. My team has been on fire and they are listing and selling every other day this month. I think we had a slow start to the Spring season and we are seeing the public make up for it now. We are going to have our best August ever and we are just halfway through. If you thought the selling season was over and that you have already missed it, think again. Prices continue to rise and rates are as low as they have ever been. My gut feeling is this will continue on through the fall. Once the election is over, we will probably see another bump.
